Volunteers are asked to indicate their availablilty on a monthly basis - this is the set of hours that they could possibly be put on the rota. The rota administrator then goes through and allocates those on call trying to make sure that no-one is over booked. We have two defibrillators so there are often two people on call at the same time and both would attend, although the more experienced volunteers are prepared to go out on their own.
